The Malden Positivity Campaign had it's kick-off at the Malden Community Church’s Harvest Dinner. Along the way, we’ve been collecting snippits of Positivity about the town of Malden. Some people participate online at www.facebook.com/malden.wa.welikeit and others participate in-person by dropping their Positivity in the box on the front of the old city shop on Moreland. We keep a Positivity Campaign Display up in the Malden Library & Community Center, and recently we announced the Malden Positivity Poster winner www.facebook.com/events/301990713304901/

And soon, on Sat May 23rd, we'll be wrapping up the Malden Positivity Campaign with an All-Day Event called MALDEN APPRECIATION DAY with Art in the Park and more!

In the morning, there will be a Positivity Speech Contest where adult entrants will have the chance to win 6mos free internet service, and youth entrants will have the opportunity to score 8 free jump passes to Get Air Spokane trampoline park.

In the afternoon, activities will be centered around the Malden Community Park. We'll have Art in the Park (a celebration/sale of the works of local Artists) and Malden in Motion (pick-up games of BBall and Tetherball; and an informal hike along the John Wayne Pioneer Trail). There will also be a Plant Sale, a Bake Sale to benefit the Library, and an opportunity to view the Malden Heritage Quilt.

As evening approaches, the fun moves to the Masonic Hall for a Railroad Days Sing-along hosted by the Eastern Star.

We hope you'll discover we've made Malden, WA a fun place to spend a Saturday in May .... see you on the 23rd!
